Love your child and give them praise and reassurance for who they are.
Your child is fascinated by the world around them, they are only two years old and everything is new. Stop for a second and look at what they are looking at. It might be a worm or a spider or it could be a fast car that passed you, either way enjoy it with your child. Discuss what you see “Yes, that is a big long worm”, or “Look how fast that yellow car is going”. By doing this you are giving your child your full attention whilst introducing them to new vocabulary.
Trust your child, they might be two years old but they do know what they are doing and what they want. Give them space.
If you see a tantrum brewing; distract, distract, DISTRACT!!
Set up playdates with your friends and their children. This will, firstly give you a breather and secondly develop your child’s social skills.
Offer your child choices when possible, this will develop their independence
Encourage your child to communicate using their words or non verbal communication to express what they want.
Explain how to follow rules. Instead of saying “stop hitting” say “let’s take turns…”
Try and keep a daily routine so that your child will know what to expect.
Trust yourself as a parent!
